A note for parents

Early Creatives is built around a simple idea — young artists deserve a safe place to turn their creativity into real products, and parents should be in control of everything involving their child. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have as a parent. If anything here is unclear, please email us at solmastrmnd@yahoo.com.

1. Who we are

Early Creatives is a print-on-demand marketplace where original artwork created by young artists becomes real products (shirts, hoodies, stickers, mugs, posters, and more). We are operated by New Movement Media. We take children's privacy seriously and have designed Early Creatives to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the U.S. federal law that protects the personal information of children under 13.

2. Our parent-owned model (please read first)

Early Creatives is parent-owned by design. This is the most important thing to understand about how we handle privacy:

  • Accounts are created and owned by a parent or legal guardian, using the adult's own information.
  • Children do not create their own accounts and do not directly enter or submit their own personal information.
  • A parent submits their child's artwork and manages the child's participation on the child's behalf.
  • The parent provides consent for everything before any information about their child is collected or used.

Because a parent is the account holder and the one entering information, parental consent and control are built into how the platform works.

3. Information we collect

Information from parents (account holders)

When you create an account and use Early Creatives, we collect:

  • Account information: your name and email address.
  • Payment information: when you make a purchase, payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number on our own systems.
  • Shipping information: the name and mailing address needed to fulfill and deliver an order.

Information about children (submitted by the parent)

When a parent sets up a young artist's profile and submits artwork, we collect a limited amount of information entered by the parent:

  • A display name for the young artist (for example, "King1Billion"). This is a nickname chosen by the family — not the child's real name.
  • The child's original artwork (the image files the parent uploads).
  • The child's age and school name, entered by the parent. This information is kept internal to Early Creatives and is used only for our own records and administration. It is not displayed publicly.
What we do NOT collect from children: We do not collect children's real names for public display, home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, geolocation, or any information directly from the child. Children do not interact with account creation or data entry.

Information shown publicly

On the public parts of our site (shop pages, artist pages, product listings), the only information shown about a young artist is their chosen display name and their artwork. We do not publicly show a child's real name, age, school, or any contact information.

4. Verifiable parental consent

Before any information about a child is collected or used, the parent or legal guardian must:

  1. 1Create the account using their own information (confirming they are the parent/guardian and are 18 or older), and
  2. 2Agree to this Privacy Policy and consent to Early Creatives collecting and using their child's limited information as described here.

We record each parent's consent, including when it was given and which version of this policy was agreed to. A parent may withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights as a parent below).

5. How we use the information

We use the information we collect only to operate Early Creatives and provide the service, specifically to:

  • Create and display products featuring the young artist's approved artwork (under their display name only);
  • Review and moderate submitted artwork before it is made available (all artwork is admin-reviewed);
  • Process purchases and fulfill and ship orders;
  • Send transactional messages such as order confirmations;
  • Calculate and track artist earnings and any related contributions (Early Creatives directs a share of proceeds to the artist, with a portion of the platform's share going to school-related donations);
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the platform.

We do notuse children's information for behavioral advertising, and we do not sellchildren's personal information.

6. Who we share information with

We share information only with the trusted service providers we need to run the platform. Each receives only the information necessary to do its job:

Stripeprocesses payments. Stripe receives the buyer's payment details and shipping information to complete the transaction.
Printfulour print-on-demand fulfillment partner. Printful receives the shipping address and the artwork file needed to print and ship an order.
Supabaseprovides our database and secure file storage. Account information, artwork, and order records are stored using Supabase.
Resendsends transactional emails, such as order confirmations.
Vercelhosts the Early Creatives website.

We do not share children's personal information with any other third parties, and we do not allow these providers to use children's information for their own marketing. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Early Creatives, our users, or others.

7. Your rights as a parent

As the account holder and parent/guardian, you have the right at any time to:

  • Review the information we have collected about your child;
  • Delete your child's information and/or your account;
  • Withdraw consent and refuse to allow any further collection or use of your child's information.

If you withdraw consent or ask us to delete your child's information, we will stop collecting and using that information and delete it as described below. Note that in some cases we may need to retain limited records to complete an in-progress order or to comply with legal obligations.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at solmastrmnd@yahoo.com. We will respond and act on verified parental requests promptly.

8. Data retention and deletion

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed to provide the service and for legitimate record-keeping (for example, completed-order and earnings records). When information is no longer needed, or when a parent requests deletion, we delete it using reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access during the process.

9. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect, including secure storage through our infrastructure providers and restricting access to accounts and administrative tools. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to keep children's and families' information safe.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we collect or use children's information, we will notify parents and, where required, obtain renewed consent. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when the policy was last revised.
